Exodus 40:36-38 | Whenever the cloud was taken up from the tabernacle, the Israelites would set out on each stage of their journey; but if the cloud was not taken up, then they did not set out until the day that it was was taken up. For the cloud of the Lord was on the tabernacle by day, and fire was in the cloud by night, before the eyes of all the house of Israel at each stage of their journey.
Throughout all of time I have set out signs for my children to follow. Following the cloud kept my beloved children alive as they wandered the desert and recovered from the trauma of slavery in Egypt. None of them had known freedom, and it would have been overwhelming without signs that I was there to guide the. I offer you signs, also, of the life I am calling you into. Today reflect on what signs, like the could that led the Israelites, are waiting to help you follow your life’s calling.
