This year, we are embarking on a journey of faith that we are calling:
Rediscovering the Bible: Tales of God, Anthology of Hope
It’s a bold attempt to explore the whole scope of the Bible through preaching, small groups, and individual devotionals. We’ll alternate between the Old Testament (Hebrew Bible) and the New Testament, and we’ll spend as much time in each book as is realistically possible. We’ll aim for those passages that capture the meaning of each book, the intention of the author(s), and are relevant to a deeper understanding of our Christian faith. We’ll also explore those sections that allow us to delve into the stories and teachings we haven’t really thought about in a long time.
Whatever your personal recollection of the sacred stories of our faith or your impressions about some of its difficult passages, the hope is that as we journey through the Bible together, we will arrive at shared understandings and even more common ground than we had before we started.
