CHURCH COMMUNITY MEETING

Pastor Brent has called for us to meet in an informal community meeting to discuss our church’s response to the contemporary situation. As many immigrants have been under attack and others remain vulnerable. What do we wish to do as a congregation and as individuals? Others who we welcome and consider our family have also faced danger. And there are other moves that put the rest of us at risk with attacks on health care, social security, and peace in the world.
I am personally excited about this because the church is the one place I do not feel alone in facing these issues. We have a chance to meet and discuss how we feel about all of this. Alone it is overwhelming; within our community, it is less so.
We are called to meet. If you are unable to be there feel free to contact me and I’ll share my sense of what occurred.
